Very Rare Watercolour Course Plan of Archerfield Golf Course, cira 1900s. No longer in existance since the 1950s, it includes a vignette of Freddie Taits remarkable Course Record of 63 dated 18th July 1899 - just months before he died in the Boer War in South Africa - along with his hole by hole scores. All hand drawn and coloured, the map includes individual Hole Yardages. A rare piece of artwork of this ancient links which sits on much of the ground occupied by the swanky Archerfield Links and Rennaissance Golf Clubs in East Lothian, Scotland. Included in this lot are 3 original postcards of Archerfield House. Unframed 15 by 8 inches. Provenance: Family of Joe Sheils, former Green keeper at Archerfield.
